January 22, 2004Where Sports Meets Entertainment Meets BOA's FistsWe're not sure what to make of Dan Shanoff's declaration on Page 3, ESPN's new sports-entertainment web candy, that 14 is the new 30. On the one hand, we appreciate that Mr. Shanoff, a very clever writer who claims to have read Book of Ages 30, thinks that there was a time when 30 was "the cool birthday." Really, it's flattering for an age when other ages want to be like you. On the other hand, we're baffled that Shanoff thinks that 50-something Diane Keaton ushered out the age of 30 when she got naked on screen this fall. We -- not Diane Keaton's ass -- will say when 30 is over, Dan! It's not over. (Seriously, be honest, is it over? Buy Book of Ages. Please.)What's in play, what's played out [Page 3 (via JB)] Posted by Josh in Other Landmark Birthdays
