30 on the big screen today: 30-year old Gwyneth Paltrow portrays Sylvia Plath, über-depressive writer who committed suicide at age 30 by putting her head in an oven. (See page 160 of Book of Ages 30 for more information.)

Though Paltrow is getting generally favorable notices for her portrayal of the poet, the film itself is garnering tepid to outright bad reviews.

"An exercise in drudgery, with nothing particularly insightful or revealing to say about the charter member of the Suicidal Poets Society and the artistic endeavor in which she would make her indelible mark." - The Hollywood Reporter

If she were alive today, Ms. Plath would be rolling over in her grave.
