Nice One, Steele

"I'm in the middle of an epic BOA post," says Lockhart Steele, his voice pregnant with the dulcet lilt of the inexplicably self-impressed, as we talk on the phone two days ago. And so he was, rolling out the documenting age 30 entry just a few moments later.

But for Steele, the thrill of victory would be short-lived. The next day, the following missive makes its way to the BOA inbox:
hey! thanks for the write-up about my semi-respectable age 30 project on your site. the book looks interesting and will look thru the rest of the site when i can... but only on one condition! my name is bill keaggy, not adam keaggy. yer post says adam. i have a friend named adam, but i am not him, and he is not a keaggy. anyway. much thanks, and many good wishes to you and the book of ages crew!

best regards,
bk
Luckily, unlike his web posts, Steele's contributions to the Book of Ages 30 manuscript were verified by not only both of the other authors, but also Crown's eagle-eyed factcheckers. Buyers can rest assured that — despite Lock's involvement in the project — entries on Adam Gates (founder of Microsoft) and Adam Clinton (42nd President of the United States) are nowhere to be found.

And to Mr. Bob Keaggy, please accept sincere apologies on behalf of Mr. Steele and the entire BOA team.
