Former Tyco chairman Dennis Kozlowski's fraud trial is providing some heady lessons for anyone planning a big birthday bash. To wit:

• Skip the "ice sculpture of Michelangelo's David spewing vodka from his penis," unless you really, really need it.
• If your company is footing some of the bill, try to keep costs down. Togas, okay. Chariots, probably not.
• Destroy all video.
