Election 2004: Kerry at 30

The third in a series of profiles of 2004 Presidential Candidates at age 30.


JOHN KERRY was gunning for a Juris Doctor
Turned 30: 12/11/73

LOW: Age 27 Leads anti-Vietnam protest in which veterans voiced their objection to the war by pelting the Capitol building with metals, but neglects to use his own medals	HIGH: Age 43 Launched "Kerry Committee" investigation, eventually resulting in hours of entertainment for America in the form of the Oliver North trials

AT 30: In his first year at Boston College School of Law. On his return from Vietnam at age 26, Kerry shot into the public eye as poster boy for Veterans Against the War. His next target was a law degree, which he bagged at age 33. He's now on a hunt for the title of commander-in-chief, and, if elected, will be assured of a spot in the Money & Power section of Book of Ages 60.
