CNNFN Report: Grinning Idiots Go National

After much anticipation, Book of Ages 30 went national Wednesday on CNNfn's midday gabfest The Flip Side. We caught the rebroadcast last night and captured some screen shots to create this brief photo essay of the happenings as they unfolded.


1) Kicking things off, the cover gets a moment in the sun.


2) The grinning idiots experts are introduced. (N.B. Steele's chair was an outrageous six inches shorter than Van Gieson's. The pillow provided by a stagehand—though comfy—did not make up the difference.)


3) Steele makes an incisive point about happiness.


4) Steele and Van Gieson bicker; anchors "laugh along."


5) Steele kicks some money stats...


6) ...then Van Gieson handles the sex duties (natch).


7) A horrifying moment: Van Gieson's ponytail is exposed to a national television audience.


8) A touching moment: Steele's earpiece comes loose as a "Caller from Texas" asks a question about whether one must give up "going to nightlife and clubs" after age 30.


9) Van Gieson steps into the breach, gleefully informing the caller, "Many people still binge drink after age 30!"


10) As things wrap up, the website scores a nice little plug.


11) Interview complete, the experts grinning idiots grin idiotically.
