30 On 30: Book Party Special!

Tonight is the night for the breathtakingly exclusive Book of Ages 30 on 30 Party, scheduled for a fashionable downtown boite whose name modesty prevents us from revealing here. On today's party to-do list:

· Pick up bottle of Glenfiddich 30-year-old scotch for raffle;
· Finalize "drink specials" with hosting establishment;
· Fine-tune dramatic readings from the book, which will be presented by a series of well-known New York actors;
· Assure Mom that Alphabet City is a whole lot safer these days than when we moved there back in 1996.
